PARIS FASHION WEEK DAY 9: The penultimate last show of Paris prêt-à-porter winter 2012 was Lebanese designer Elie Saab whose store and couture appointment rooms are just off Les Champs Elysées. A designer with an international clientele, he’s favoured by the ladies-who-lunch crowd (and their daughters) from the States to Saudi Arabia as his designs show utmost respect for womanly elegance. This golden evening gown modelled by Karmen Pedaru is made from thousands of hand-stitched sequins sewn carefully in patterns so that sheer panels are revealed to flatter and subtly reveal parts of the body.
